My Interest in Graphic Design

Although there’s so many facets of graphic design that I find interesting, one of my favorite aspects of this field is that no matter how adept I think I am with the programs I use, I’m somehow always surprised by how much I learn with every new project that I undertake. For instance, I enjoy learning new typography tricks in Illustrator - like how to create an isometric type effect or a hatched drop shadow. 

However, I also enjoy how graphic design is versatile enough to allow me to explore a wide variety of interests. For instance, my work tends to be very type-related, and I love exploring the different techniques used in creating type. But I’m also interested in product and package design, UI/UX, and branding, amongst others.
